i’ll be back

As many of you may or may not know, this Saturday I will take a step out from behind the camera and become the groom and husband to my beautiful fiance Michele.  Who’s taking the pictures you may ask… friend and badass photographer DJ Ellis of La Bella Vita Photography, that’s who!!  We cant wait!  Michele and I (…mostly Michele!) about have all the details wrapped up and are stoked to spend the weekend with our family and closest friends, then off on our honeymoon and time for relaxation.  That means I will be out of touch for the next 2-3 weeks so don’t expect any new stuff or immediate contact between now and then.

What’s a post without pictures so I figured I would leave you with a few from our newest toy.  All of the following images were taken with that camera.  Not too bad for a point and shoot, eh?

One of the big reasons we got this camera is because of its durability and ability to resist dust and submerge.  I figured what a better way to test it then grab a few shots of our dog Bear in Michele’s parents’ pool last weekend.  After the shot below was taken, i got a mouthful of water and a few scratches when he landed on top of me… the things i do to get the shot i guess!

Bear is a mad man when it comes to water and will dive all the way to the bottom of the pool just to get his chew toy.  Crazy puppy!

I went out to Madera with my soon to be father in law yesterday to go dove hunting and got a few pics there as well.  The shots below are of him and his dog Roxy.  Bear came along too and he retrieved his first ever bird!  I was such a proud daddy :)
