As the blazing hot summer here in the valley approaches the thing I’ll miss the most other than the rainy days, snowy mountains, fireplace, and blankets, are the amazing skies that we get here in the winter time. Now that I have a handy-dandy iPhone I find myself snapping pictures all the time and my favorite subject being the sky above. I find that staring at clouds never get’s old. You could take a million pictures in the same day of the same sky but never get the same picture. There is something about them that fascinates me. They make the world disappear around you if you stop and take the time to let them in. Here’s a few from my iPhone collection this last winter and if we’re lucky maybe we’ll get a few more days of cloudy inspiration before next.
“A cloud does not know why it moves in just such a direction and at such a speed…It feels an impulsion…this is the place to go now. But the sky knows the reasons and the patterns behind all clouds, and you will know, too, when you lift yourself high enough to see beyond horizons.” Richard Bach
